order of operations

Generally, it is best to apply skincare products from thinnest to thickest. A basic skincare routine may consist of the following, in order:

1. cleanser

2. serums (not necessary for every skincare routine)

3. prescription product (acne cream, anti-aging agent, etc. not necessary for every skincare routine)

4. sunscreen

5. spot treatment (add on last, so you don't accidently spread over your entire skin!)

This list encompasses the basics of a skincare routine, but it can get more complicated the more products you use. Be sure to ask your personal skincare expert to clarify order of operations to match your personal needs!
